Today 2:30 Thursday we have an exciting live broadcast with the head of evangelical alliance in Switzerland Christian Kuhn who will give us a live update on the impact of The Turning in his nation. It promises to be an explosive moment, hundreds of people responded to the Gospel in Switzerland over two weeks, and Christian Kuhn led the team of national leaders who helped us steward the process. What is astonishing is the numbers in discipleship post-mission.

My more significant concern is warped around the question of how many of us are making disciples?
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, {20} and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Christ has pointed the way and shown us what makes pioneering successful at root, I call it In-Reach.
His call is to make disciples by very specific means.
Ten insights into Jesus discipleship making approach Mat 10:1-4
Matthew 10:1-14 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness…… .. {5} These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. {6} Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. {7} As you go, preach this message ‘The kingdom of heaven is near. ‘{8} Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. {9} Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; {10} take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep. {11} “Whatever town or village you enter, search for some worthy person there and stay at his house until you leave. {12} As you enter the home, give it your greeting. {13} If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. {14} If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
- Not everyone will welcome you.
- Not every new relationship will be a relationship of peace. Be willing to move on.
- Search for a disciple in every new context you find yourself in, its a command, there is one there waiting for you, you just have to find them.
- Be willing to make it a journey of faith.
- Preach the gospel, don’t just live it. People cant be saved unless they respond to Christ.
- Live the gospel don’t just preach it, meet the needs of those you encounter. Heal them love them to restore them.
- In -reach costs time.
- To reach out to the stranger requires generosity
- Someone has to carry the financial burden.
- There is an emotional cost.
